First day of 2nd and 5th grade was August 25 and the boys were positively dreading it. School is pretty intense and with the mandatory summer packet I just don't know that they were able to separate themselves enough to feel like they really got a break. Poor kids. They both love their teachers and had a good first day. I took the usual pictures on the front porch. They posed in a way that made them feel cool, and Landon insisted on holding his backpack. Have I mentioned how much I love the uniforms? Well, I do.
Now if the carpool drivers would start running late we'll be back in business. I'm not used to waiting in line in the mornings. Once the excitement wears off and moms and kids can't get themselves up so early morning drop-off will go much quicker.
