We began our holiday with a beautiful 12.5 mile run above the city. It was a gorgeous morning and it was made even better with having John and Jameson out there with me. We invested in a Chariot CX1 and it has been worth Every. Single. Penny. In our other jogger Jameson would get restless between miles 6-8, now he has no trouble going 14 or more and actually asks to get back in the Chariot when we've finished the run. It looks like a tank but pushes like a dream and has completely changed our long runs with baby J...plus he'll be warmer on those 20 degree runs in the winter.
In the evening we headed to my parents house for a party. My mom and dad planned the greatest party! My dad pulled out his jewelry kiln and we made individual homemade pizzas, and they only took about 2 minutes to bake. It was a HUGE hit! We ate brownies and ice cream for dessert, then watched some awesome fireworks they bought...such a nice change from those boring little fountains. It was such a fun night and made even better when every one of us slept in past 9am Sunday morning!!! That's a first and I give credit to the shutters that darken our rooms so well.
