Little thumb-sucker

What do I do? He's my first baby to be a thumb sucker, and while it's cute on a baby it is not cute on a toddler. I'm doing everything from binkie to mittens. Not sure how, but I'm determined to break the habit. But oh, isn't he just so cute?!
