Veteran's Day Assembly

One of my favorite things about APA is their wonderful Veteran's Day assembly and luncheon. We invited Jerry, Alex and Grandpa Earl...who initially said he wouldn't be able to make it. The boys (and I) were so disappointed. Thankfully he was able to come after all. WWII vets are getting few in number and the kids love to give them special recognition for the service they provided to our country.

  

        

        

                                     

      The one thing Landon's wretched (his words-not mine) teacher did right was letting him run out to say goodbye after the assembly. Since being back at his home school with a teacher he loves, I've seen my happy old Landon coming back. His teacher just squashed the light in his eyes and I'm so happy it's coming back.
