For Carson a routine dental cleaning turned out to be a not so great day. He had four molars that were not coming out, the roots were not dissolving and the permanent teeth were doing things they shouldn't. The dentist wanted them out immediately, and wanted him in braces within two weeks. Carson was absolutely terrified, but I had to chuckle. He was so numbed up and had gas, but it was still a lot of trauma to his mouth.
His orthodontist doesn't want him in braces quite yet, so we did costly bridge arches and we'll re-evaluate this summer. He was ready for braces and I was hoping he'd be done before high school, but it looks as though he'll get them just in time for high school. At least he'll have straight teeth in the end.
