4th of July

Although we were having a BBQ with John's family we opted to buy a few parachutes to light off at home. I We lit of six and the boys loved running to catch them. We also bought a few poppers, as well as a large firework to take to the bbq. At the BBQ we played a game of softball and Carson loved every minute of it. He's really getting into sports...thankfully. We had a couple of the aerial firework tip over and shoot at us and actually hit one of the kids. Those things are dangerous...but fun:)

A picture of our house with the new roof. We replaced it 4th of July weekend and it was a NIGHTMARE! Holly took the boys for a few days so I wouldn't have to worry about them. The morons previous owners of our home had three layers of shingles on the roof. Do you know what it takes to load three layers of shingles into a dumpster? Thankfully we had friends and neighbors who came to help. We felt so loved and couldn't have done it alone. Hopefully next time the roof needs to be replaced Carson and Landon can do it for us.
