Just like every year John's mom had a fantastic Easter egg hunt/ party. I've never taken the boys to an actual community hunt like my mom used to take us to, purely because Grandma Holly puts on such a fun party that it's just not necessary. Jameson was definitely the focus of our pictures this year...he's the baby and this was his first year. Once he realized what was going on he would get so excited each time he got his hands on some candy. He was so cute and it was so much fun having another little one to walk around with.
Of course the older boys had fun as well, and they posed for the obligatory picture, but their focus was CANDY and nothing but.
I used my fun egg cake mold and made a couple Easter Egg cakes...one for the party Saturday, and one for Easter Day. It was so much fun and really my first foray into the world of marshmallow fondant (since my fondant tools finally arrived.) It was a fun project and the cake tasted as yummy as it looked.
