Starvation June 11-14

We had so much fun at Starvation last year that we couldn't resist doing it again this year. I made reservations months ago, and when school finally ended we couldn't wait to pack up and take off. We invited family this year, and the kids spent all day playing in the water and sand. By the time we left each and every one of us (except baby J) was burnt to a crisp.
We swam, paddled the kayak, the kids jumped off the swim platform, we played on the slack line, ate (too much) yummy food, flew the kite, built streams, went fishing and overall had a blast.
It was pouring rain when we first arrived, so the boys played iPad's, and as soon as the rain let up a bit John headed out in his pontoon boat. Not much luck fishing, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Starvation just might become an annual vacation.
