I am so far behind on this blog, but Summer just flew by. Now with the boys being back in school I have a bit more time to sit down and catch up.
July 3-7 was our annual Lake Powell trip. Carson invited his friend Jorgen which added a whole new dynamic to our vacation. However, I feel like Carson overall was happier and they got along great, so maybe we'll let him invite friends every once in awhile.
We were concerned about finding a decent spot with it being a holiday weekend, but we went so far up the lake that we found a wonderful and quiet spot. The kids had so much fun, and while Jameson needed to be watched like a hawk, Carson and Landon are old enough to have quite a bit of freedom, so long as they are wearing their lifejackets.
We worked on skiing again, and Landon almost has it. Ugh, they'll get it eventually....right? They loved knee boarding and tubing, and it was just a nice vacation. Halfway through the trip Jameson learned how to swim and keep himself upright in a lifejacket. This is HUGE! Until this point the only thing a lifejacket would do was allow us to find his body (morbid thought), but now that he can swim, and knowing he won't immediately go face-down is a big weight off my shoulders.
